Otoplasty in Troy, Michigan
Otoplasty reshapes and repositions prominent or misshapen ears so they sit closer to the head and look proportional, for both children and adults.
Ears that project further than usual, or that have an underdeveloped fold, can draw unwanted attention and affect confidence from a young age. Otoplasty reshapes the cartilage to create a natural fold and bring the ear into better proportion with the head.
The procedure is commonly performed once the ears reach near-adult size, often around age five or six, though many adults choose it as well. Incisions are placed behind the ear so scarring stays hidden.

Face questions
What is the best age for a facelift?
There is no single right age. Most facelift patients are in their 40s to 60s, but candidacy comes down to skin laxity, health, and goals rather than a number. Dr. Qasawa assesses each patient individually during consultation.
How long does facelift recovery take?
Most patients feel comfortable returning to light activities in about two weeks, with bruising and swelling continuing to settle over several weeks. The final result comes through as the tissues fully relax over the following months.
Is eyelid surgery covered by insurance?
Upper eyelid surgery may be partially covered when excess skin blocks your vision and this is documented with a visual-field test. Purely cosmetic eyelid surgery is not covered. Our team can help you understand your options.
How long does Botox last?
Botox results usually last three to four months. With regular treatment, many patients find the results last a little longer over time as the treated muscles relax.
